St Laurence Church is the parish church for Lighthorne Village, Lighthorne Heath and Upper Lighthorne (a brand new village which when complete will have a population of approx 9000 people).  Whilst the parish church is situated in Lighthorne Village, a new congregation is being planted in Upper Lighthorne where there are many children and young people.

This is a great opportunity to help us grow our work with children and families in this pioneering role! 

We are looking for someone who can:

• Develop age appropriate teaching for children at our Sunday afternoon service. 

• Develop relationships with young people and their families and create appropriate groups for them. 

• Deliver outreach ministry to our local primary school. 

• Offer pastoral support to children, young people and their families.

• Work as part of a wider ministry team.

Whilst we are looking for someone with the skill set to work across both children and youth ministries, we will happily receive applications from those who feel they are stronger in one ministry or the other.

Salary: £15 per hour, 20 hours per week
